Frequently asked questions
How much space does the mini golf take up? We can make the mini golf take up a tiny or a huge space, depending on what you have available. It's extremely flexible. All of the measurements below are the minimum practical space required and includes standing space and space for clubs. You don't need to have a perfect rectangle space as we can spread the mini golf around, but below will give you a rough idea of space:
6 Holes: 4m x 2.5m or equivalent 9 Holes: 6m x 2.5m or equivalent 18 Holes: 6m x 6m or equivalent
Do you provide score cards? Yes, but you don't need to use them. At most of our events, customers play for fun but we provide score cards for those more competitive.
How large are the mini golf courses? Each mini golf course is approximately 1.8m by 0.6m. There are some minor size differences, but if you're planning the space, this is a good guide.
When do you arrive to set up? We arrive to set up the mini golf approximately 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. We've got a very efficient system which allows us to set up the mini golf in only a few minutes. If you need it to be set up earlier, you'll need to change the scheduled start time to be earlier, because we guarantee we'll have the mini golf set up and our vehicle removed from the site/loading dock before that time.
Can I pick which courses I'd like to use if I hire less than the full 18? Yes you can! Just specify which ones you'd like when making your booking.
Can I see the mini golf courses you have? Yes, just see the courses page.
What if there is bad weather? If your event is outdoors, you can move the mini golf courses indoors or undercover, or you can reschedule at no extra cost. If you cancel, there is a $150 cancellation fee
Do you have public liability insurance? Yes, we have $20 million public liability insurance
Do you stick around or drop off the courses and go? Up to you! By default it is unsupervised but you can add one of our staff members to stay around and supervise the mini golf/instruct players/collect tickets for fundraising etc for an extra $45/hour.
What payment options are there? You can pay with credit card or bank transfer. There is no credit card fee, and is our preferred method of payment
What are the payment terms? / is there a deposit? You can pay either in full or pay an $150 deposit and pay the rest prior to your event. You must have paid the full amount at least 7 days in advance of your event's date. We can make exceptions for some customers in some circumstances. If the above terms don't work, please reach out to arrange alternate terms.
How long does it take to set up? The mini golf takes as little as 5-10 minutes to set up due to our clever system where it's transported on a trolley and easily unloaded. We usually arrive about 30 minutes before your start time, just to be safe.
What kind of access do you need? We need to be able to get our vehicle (large car) reasonably close to the setup area. We can transport the mini golf through lifts if needed and transport into the venue via trolley. The client is responsible for having a place to load/unload the mini golf such as a loading dock or parking space.
Can you provide a fence around the mini golf course? You're more than welcome to place the mini golf inside a fenced area, but we do not provide any fences ourselves.
Do you use regular golf balls? By default, we bring regular colorful golf balls. However we can also provide rubber balls on request, just mention this when booking.
What are your clubs made of? Our putters are metal with rubber coating for safety.
How many clubs/balls do you provide? We provide enough that all ages and heights are able to play. We have a wide range of adult and child-sized golf putters. How many clubs you receive is based on how many courses you hire: 3 holes: 7 clubs, 10 balls 6 holes: 14 clubs, 20 balls 9 holes: 23 clubs, 30 balls 18 holes: 46 clubs, 60 balls
Do you need to stick down anything/screw into the ground/need electricity? No, we don't need to stick or screw down anything and power is not required. The courses are made of timber and stay in place by themselves in most situations. For particularly slippery surfaces, we have rubber mats which avoids any movement of the courses.
